Acceptance of any contribution, gift, or grant is at the discretion of CERHAM. CERHAM will not accept any gifts unless they can be used or spent in accordance with CERHAM`s purpose and mission.
No irrevocable gift, whether direct payment or lifetime income, will be accepted if, under reasonable circumstances, the gift would compromise the donor's financial security.
CERHAM will refrain from providing advice on the tax or other treatment of gifts, and will encourage donors to seek advice from their own professional advisers to assist them in the process of making their donation.
CERHAM will accept donations in cash or publicly traded securities. Donations of in-kind services will be accepted at Sole CERHAM's discretion.
Certain other gifts, real estate, personal property, in-kind donations, illiquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some way, must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to obligations particular contracted or responsibilities they may pose for CERHAM.
CERHAM will provide acknowledgments to donors meeting tax requirements for property received by the charity as a gift. However, with the exception of cash gifts and publicly traded securities, no value will be attributed to any receipt or other form of evidence of a gift received by CERHAM.
CERHAM will respect the donor's intent regarding gifts for restricted purposes and those regarding the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, CERHAM alone will limit information about the donor to only staff members with a need to know.
CERHAM will not compensate, whether through commissions, finder's fees or other means, any third party for directing a donation or donor to Only CERHAM.
